11/7/05 - Cohesia® Appoints Six Sigma Expert Thomas McCarty to Advisory Board

Move Aimed to Sustain Company's Visionary Approach to Improving Quality Across the Supply Chain while speeding Time-To-Market

Cincinnati, OH - November 7, 2005 - Cohesia, the leading provider of technology that eliminates the ambiguity in the flow-down of detailed requirements and specifications throughout the supply chain, announces that Six Sigma author Thomas McCarty has joined the company's advisory board.

Mr. McCarty, the author of the "Six Sigma Black Belt Handbook," is an experienced Six Sigma practitioner and deployment leader, who has worked with more than 50 leadership teams at various companies and government organizations. He has helped these teams to develop strategies, create performance dashboards and deploy Six Sigma business improvement campaigns. Mr. McCarty's clients span a broad range of sectors and include Agilent, American Electric Power, Microsoft, Motorola, Jones Lang LaSalle and the United States Department of Defense.

"Root cause analysis is a key component of successful Six Sigma programs, and Cohesia has proven that the root cause in sixty two percent of quality escapes are directly attributable to the ambiguity in the flow-down of specifications through the supply chain," reports Thomas McCarty. "This has allowed them to provide manufacturers a Best Practice for significantly reducing quality escapes while improving time-to-market. I look forward to joining Cohesia as they look to further extend their unique solution set," McCarty continued.

In his advisory role, Mr. McCarty will provide advice, assistance and guidance on future releases of Cohesia's technology and contribute thought leadership towards the evolution of the company's business model.

"We're excited to have Thomas McCarty join the Cohesia team in an advisory role. Thomas's thought leadership and engaging style will help Cohesia stay ahead of the market," said Tim Schigel, CEO of Cohesia.

"Cohesia's solution allows us to effectively flow-down our product and manufacturing requirements to our supply chain partners ensuring the highest level of quality. With the addition of Mr. McCarty, Cohesia continues to demonstrate their thought leadership as it relates to best practices," said Saed Safai, Honeywell Aerospace.

Cohesia's solution is targeted to the discrete manufacturing space where technical document management practices significantly impact the time-to-market, cost, and quality of new products. Industries like aerospace and automotive produce products that have regulated quality practices and extensive supply chain challenges related to the flow-down of specifications. Cohesia gives OEMs and their suppliers a way to manage and dramatically reduce quality escapes thereby directly improving time-to-market and reducing costs.
